Giving and Receiving

We have a deep longing for the well-being of the whole. Based on what we have observed so far, we have some pretty serious doubts about the market economy's ability to fulfill that longing. To this end, we are continually experimenting with creative ways to get more needs met (including both yours and ours). Working with us is an invitation to experiment with stepping out of the market economy and into a relational, needs-based approach to resource flow. In our experience, this approach can be incredibly healing and transformative in and of itself.

Before our first session, on your own time, we invite you to feel into what you would like to give us for each session:
- We invite you to make this as fun and self-connective as possible. You might want to put on some music and close your eyes. Ask yourself, "what would I like to contribute, that bubbles up from a 'full yes!' inside?"
- Next, ask yourself, "if I stretch beyond my 'full yes!' yet stay within my willingness, what am I willing to contribute?"
- Finally, email us with what you learned. Please include your "full yes!" and your "stretch" offerings. We invite you to be as honest as possible with both yourself and with us. This is where the healing lies. For example, you could offer hundreds of dollars, zero dollars, or a non-monetary gift. All offers will be considered with care.
- Our desire is to accept as many "full yes!" offers as possible.
- If your "full yes!" offer does not meet our needs, we will consider if there is something between your "full yes!" and your "stretch" offer that would meet our needs.
- If your "stretch" offer does not meet our needs, we will add you to our waiting list. Our needs change all the time, based on what other clients are offering us; we will reach back out, once we are willing and able to say "yes!" to your offer.
